Find Out Everything You Need to Know About IVF Treatment
IVF treatment in Lahore

IVF (In Vitro fertilization) is the most common way for couples to conceive a baby. It works by removing eggs from your ovaries and then fertilizing them with your partner's sperm. It's one of the most costly practices out there because it involves over 11 procedures. You can learn more about IVF treatment below. If you're hoping to get pregnant but have fertility issues or you simply want to have children one day, you have probably heard about IVF.

While I would love to tell you all about IVF, there are other ways for couples who can't conceive naturally due to medical reasons or in-vitro fertilization is not an option. The most common infertility treatments are In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). Since the human egg is a single cell, it cannot be used to create a baby on its own. This is where an IVF treatment is conducted.

The egg is fertilized by sperm in a lab-like setting. A woman's eggs are taken out of her ovaries and put through a battery of genetic tests to identify the best possible matches for your baby.

What is IVF?

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is a fertility treatment that uses the sperm and eggs of one or more men to create embryos. These are then grown in the laboratory and transferred (fertilised) into the womb of a woman.

IVF involves taking eggs from the woman and fertilising them with sperm in a laboratory. The resulting embryos are then inserted into the womb, where they develop and are nurtured until they're ready to be born.

Once an embryo is successfully implanted in the womb, it grows and develops into a baby. IVF is one of the most successful ways to increase your chances of having a healthy baby at home.

IVF involves taking eggs from your ovaries, fertilising them with donor sperm and freezing them for future use. You may have as many as 10 or more embryos made. You can freeze some of these embryos immediately after they are made; others you will store for later use.

How does IVF work?

In the first step of IVF, the egg and sperm are mixed together in a Petri dish and carefully monitored. Once this process is complete, an embryologist removes a single cell from the resulting embryo and tests its DNA to identify any genetic problems. The embryo is then placed back into another Petri dish with sperm from another man. This time, however, one of the eggs will be fertilized with a single sperm cell instead of two.

There are three main steps in IVF: egg retrieval, embryo transfer and embryo culture. This process can take anywhere from 12-24 hours depending on how many embryos have been created and how many have been transferred back into the patient's uterus.

If there are no genetic problems with the embryo, it will continue growing inside its mother's body for several days until it is ready to be implanted into her womb. After implantation, it takes about six weeks for a woman to develop fully again. During that time she may experience vaginal bleeding or cramping as her body prepares itself for pregnancy.

What are the side effects of IVF?

Tiredness and lack of energy. You may feel unwell or have an upset stomach. The fatigue and lack of energy can be caused by the hormone medicines you take to stimulate your ovaries to produce eggs.

Spotting (bleeding) between periods. This is a common side effect for many women during their menstrual cycles, but it's less likely with IVF treatment in Lahore as your hormones are already balanced in preparation for egg collection. If you're spotting a lot, talk to your doctor about whether there's anything you can do to reduce the bleeding or how long it will last.

Vaginal dryness and/or pain after sex that doesn't get better after using tampons or using other products that contain oestrogen (such as Midol). This is often caused by the levels of oestrogen in your body being too high, which can cause vaginal dryness and irritation if you don't use something else like an oestrogen-free lubricant. It is not related to pregnancy, because IVF bypasses ovulation entirely - so no eggs are released from the ovaries during IVF treatment and no fertilised.

Who should try IVF treatment?

IVF treatment is available to all couples who have the desire and the means to do so. The number of people who can benefit from IVF treatment is increasing every year, as a result of improvements in treatment.

The majority of couples who opt for IVF treatment are those who have been trying for one or more years without success. Some couples may also choose to go ahead with IVF treatment if they are planning to try for a baby later in life and want to start their family sooner.

In most cases, you will need to be under 40 years old when you undergo IVF treatment. This is because older women are less likely to produce eggs that meet the criteria for fertilisation by sperm. There are many reasons why couples opt for IVF rather than going ahead with traditional methods such as adoption or surrogacy:

You want to start or add a family before you're too old - If you're under 40, there's no guarantee that your eggs will keep working well past your mid-30s. By waiting until you're ready, you can increase your chances of having a baby at an early age.
